80gb hd here (not bad, given that I had 2 gb only some time ago) Homeworld I Homeworld: Cataclysmn Homeworld IIAre comments needed here? I don't think so Age of Empires I Age of Empires II The age of Kings + Age of Empires II The conquerors expansion Maybe my favourite game if we don't think about homeworld, It's expansion was the first game developement I followed. I can remember that english voice in a video I downloaded before the expansion was released, trying to get all the information we could from new units, not unlike hwShipyards. My old friends and me still make yokes about the pronunciation of the voice speaking in that video. B5: I've Found Her - Prequel campaign: Danger and OpportunityThis space combat simulator is damn good!!! and it's in Babylon 5 series universe!!! and it's for free!!! we can't ask anyting else!!! Final Fantasy VIIThis game had a great Materia sistem (no idea of how it was called in other languages, anyway, our translation was not acurate at all. When Aeris says "cool" it is translated as "it's cold!", for instance) I love japanese roleplaying games, you know: the strenght of a pure heart, sweet love stories (I think this plot suits Grandia II better), carefully designed characters with a lot of story... Anyway, I mean I like these games where you feel you love or hate the characters, and it doesn't happen very often. I can't wait for the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children film, just to see Aeris' eyes again! ohhhhhh Grandia IIIf you like japanese RPGs and you only own a computer (I don't think a Game Gear counts here ) FF and this game are your only possibilities. And in fact, this is a great game, with the best combat system I've seen in all roleplayng games (you forget it's turn based) and much better graphics than many "new" roleplaying games (it's a conversion of the Dreamcast game). And the soundtrack of Grandia II rocks too, I love Elena's Song. The game itself is too short and easy, maybe, but it's a great game, without any doubt. Ground Control IIGood strategy game, it is too focused in battle for me, but I enjoy it anyway. The Sims IIIt's a funny game when you have some free time, it's just good to play with the people you know. Anyway, I like this game because you can build your own house, and I like this kind of things (I'm studying to become an architect in real life) Magic the gathering: BattlegroundsI've been a casual player of Magic card for a long time, and this game seemed pretty good to me. You can se some of the cards you got in true 3d, moving towards your enemy, and it's damn cool. It's not like the card game, but is similar to a fighting game. And given that I have Virtual On no longer... Crimson SkiesThe best thing of this game is, in my humble opinion, the detail of the menus, wich make you feel like if you were actually onboard the Pandora in the Crimson Skies universe. That's what makes this a good game. Rise of NationsGood strategy game, I like the national borders feature. Sim City 4I've got Sim City 3000 too, but the graphics of this new game were MUCH better. More options and features (althought there are less laws available). I've not been able of creating a good city, however... maybe I was not born to be a mayor. Sonic Adventure IAs I'm a Sega fan, I though I should have this game. Too simple [althought you feel lost some times (too many times in fact)], bad camera and maybe too slow when compared to other Sonic games, but I love climbing walls as Knucles. I like the Chao gardens too. my last papel model was a chao, in fact. Star Wars: Jedi OutcastI like the player models in Jedi Outcast much more than in Jedi Academy, so it is the game I play when I want to play a shooter (not very often) but it is amazing to have a lightsaber duel. I've got more games (for instance: Black and White I, Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic, Heroes of Might and Magic III, Heroes of Might and Magic IV, Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, Stronghold Crusader...), but I have only istalled (at this moment) the games I've commented above. (if Populous III ran in XP...)

Whats this B5 freebie game? Downloadable? How big a file etc. Any reported virus risks? No risk of infections with this game. It's a fan made game, but its quality is amusing. It allows you to fly an starfury in a real 3d world (you can even fly towards jupiter, and when you are nearer, you will realise if you reached it, it would be true size! but you could spend days flying towards jupiter or its moons... The best of this is that you can fly your starfury in inertial or standard mode. The second mode will force your fury to use its propulsors and move like it would move in atmosphere (I mean, as your ship would behave in any standard fly simulator, I know only the thunderbolt starfury could fly in atmosphre) But the inertial mode allows you to play with real phisics, being able to fly in a direction while targeting and shooting somewhere else (because inertia is kept) In addition, the game has a huge b5 feel. you will feel like if you were part of the B5 universe (following tachion beams trough Hyperspace is cool, but be careful not to get lost!) And has a good story, with pretty good voice actors. However, you shouldn't forget you're playing only the prequel campaign (The part which is finished) so skirmish mode, for isntance is disabled, and the campaign is short. The full game is supposed to include a true starfury cockpit, not only a hud, for the player, and gaphic improvements. If you were pissed up when Sierra cancelled their B5 game, you should try IFH. It's much better. In short: yes, this is a GOOD game, and its installer file is downloadeable for free. Main page: (you can download it here, 220Mb I think) ifh.firstones.com/you can see the developers' forums here: ifh.firstones.com/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi

Thats what I was thinking. I have a lousy 56 kps dial up link and it takes ages to download even a short music track!!
220 megs would take 24 hours or more!! And my internet security package disconects automatically after about 30mins "inactive" - so I would have to ride herd over the goram download. Ain't enough coffee in Brazil - or the world - to keep me going.
Hmm! Caffeine. Gotta get more caffeine!!

wait !! 220mb ?? dont u have dial up Cherel ?? or is this some good news about ur connection ;D ?? I must say that doesn't mean good news about my connection, but good news about me: (1) I've got friends (2) many of these have bandwith connection. Five minutes and the file was mine. So in fact, I didn't downloaded it by myself, but I had it downloaded. I'm a B5 fan, but I need to sleep, too.

I'm only interested in black and white 2 now (I really WANT this game, as black and white studios seem to have eliminated all the flaws of the previous game), as I don't like shooters (I might make an exception with SW battlefront), and have not the connection, nor the time, to play online rpgs.
anyway, I would like to get the old Virtual On again... and a pacht to play populous III in xp...
