Hi,
In the past I have no idea that this kind of page exist. Now that I know it does, I'm anxious to get started. There are a couple of questions:
1. Will there be Hiigaran Interceptor? I've seen it and find it to be quite sleek and elegant but I wonder can I request for it?
2. What kind of good papers to print it on? I have tried some glossy ones but they cannot hold very well. Anyone has a good idea of making the paper a little rigid so that it can really make a good model?
3. I have no knowledge in printing. Can someone recomend me which printer to use? I mean from bubblejet to inkjet to laser printers? Has anyone experimented on different printers?
Anyways, thanks in advance if there are answers to my questions... ;D

Yes I'm a fan of the Higaran Interceptor and bomber myself. If managd to unfold both but so far haven't been able to modify them so that I can build the model. I'm hoping one of the gifted members will produce one sooner or later and save me the headache! Paper? Lots of differing views, the main one seems to be that ordinary letter paper is too thin. I've tried gloss paper and it has the benefit of good colours and sharp details. It is harder to fold and produces prominant white lines when scored. It will glue with a Uhu or Bostick type adhesive but the white glue doesn't seem to work. A good quality white card - say 160g weight - is ok if the card is white enough but I have found that many produce poor colours and indistinct details. The best I have found to date is a premium coated matt white paper from WH Smith newsagents. The matt coated side takes colour well and is nearly as sharp as a gloss paper. It glues well and is lighter and folds more easily. To stiffen it I use a gloss acrylic varnish spray and give both sides a light coating after the ink has dried. This can affect how the white glue works however. Printers? I use an Epson Photo 830 which so far performs well and produces a substantial number of colour printed sheets. A local copy shop has a PC system and colour laser printers. I've saved a few files to disk and had them run off a set - the results were good and seemed sharper than the inkjet. Also, they have an A3 colour printer and copier so in theory I could use this to blow up pages to A3 size and produce a HUGE model (imagine the Hiigaran Battlecruiser parts enlarged to A3 size  ) However, I suspect that the detail on such parts will suffer as pixillation will show through. |

Gearz was working on a Hiigaran bomber but i dunno when he will continue releasing models. He posted some pics of a test model and it looked very good.

Got a questiong for ya ace when i load the int file i get a nice little unfold (and a great model by the way) but if i click undo and then refold it I get a different parts arangement then you did. Any ideas as to why this is?

I'll answer that. It's because Ace altered the cut lines on the 3d model. When you press "undo," you also undo his 3d tinkering. Now, your cut lines are different and the parts layout is much more disorganized.
So, you'll have to go with his layout or else make your own.

yeah. 'Undo' kill all changes in unfold. It only left changed on 3d model.
