hey, I dunno whether any of you have played this game, but I was really surprised when I found out about this site that nobody's done any Freespace ships! They're pretty unique, and I'm sure you'd be able to get relatively high res textures for them from the games. They're all easily recogniseable, too. Please someone consider doing these!

That's a pretty good idea, FS ships are cool, but the problem is the same as with any other: To make a papermodel, our great builders here need the meshes. Sooo, anyone around here know how to extract FS models or where to get them?

iv been working on a turannus and another shievan ship for models, with little success. i scrapped them and went to a wing commander confederation broadsword. once im done ill try to finish the shievans.

If you need a mesh from either Descent: Freespace or Freespace 2, I would be more than happy to provide them. Just drop me an email telling which one and in what format.
Ships I'd like to see(in no particular order)
GTD Orion
GTF Apollo
GTCv Deimos
GVCv Sobek
GVF Serapis
SF Mara
SF Manticore
and truthfully, all the other ships as well.

Post a pic please!!!!!  Eris I'd be interested in seeing how your Broadsword turns out. What mesh version of the Broadsword are you working on? Taken from the game or from the WC 3D site. I've meshes from the 3D site for Corsair and Tolwyns grey coloured model and Kruer's green/grey/blue version. The later I find responded better to 3D explorer/meta and pepa but the first one looks better. |

I'd like to see a Fenris. I was going to make a wooden one, back in the day, but never got around to it.
A Sathanas would kick arse, also...
