Hmm.... have someone take a look at that ship in the game?... its a really nice model.. and it hasnt a lot of faces... it looks quite.... unfodable ^__^.... And of course the tanks are very interesting too... I also want to comment to the craftsmans here that theres a new interesting space strategy game which will include a modding and viewer tools: Nexus: the jupiter incident. There´s a link to its viewer demo... if someone´s interested: www.nexusthegame.com/

I can, and it's cool (I haven't ever played DoW or Warhammer, so I didn't knew this ship, only the basic units)

There is a fairly well known story that has circulated concerning paper/card model of the Thunderhawk Gunship from Warhammer 40K.
Games Workshop released a white metal model (price £400) a few years ago. More recently, a division of Games Workshop called Forge World brought out a similarly huge resin model of the 'Hawk.
Anyway, this guy turns up at one of the GW sponsored games days (Golden Demon) and shows the GW people this card model he's built using measurements from the GW original and translated to paper using a cadcam software. Its as good if not better that the original and at a fraction of the price.
Having recovered from their surprise at the quality of the model, the builder was then informed in no uncertin terms that if if model was distributed to anyone then they would sue his a$$ off!!
Now I don't know how true the story is. I do know that I found a site with paper templates for a lot of other 40K land vehicles including both Mk1 and MkIV Landraiders etc.
That site has since disappeared and again, the rumour I heard was that Games Workshop had threatened them...
So a word to the wise. GW are as sneaky and vindictive as any big multi national....

The some of the meshes from dawn of war were extracted (kinda) during the early attempts to mod the game and were put up in the forum. i remember because I was trying to work on a new dread model and found them a good referance. If you want, I believe I still ahvce them on my hard drive and the set includes the thunderhawk. just one problem: no textures =(

actually, you can. I found the tool and have the texture now. If anyone wants to give it a try, I'll send it thier way. I also have the meshes for the Space marines, librarian, terminator, the Dreadnaughts (both) , killa Kan , shoota, slugga, and te jetpack boyz, the big mek, leman russ tank, predator tank, eldar farseer and avatar, gaurdian, bloodthirter, defiler, cultists, and possesed chaos marines, plus a few misc. buildings. They are the models Beroc pulled out f the game, and all credit for doing that should go to him. They also need a little bit of work (filling in holes, removing extra parts, ect) .
