Just to enlighten you Glove in the name of Qwaar-Jet...
He has definitely 4 Ion-Cannons. i may know it for sure cause i modded him into HW2...
The ions are much tighter together as on the Avatar, showing that the Taiidani were technologically more advanced.
In HW1 the ions on the same turret will fire together, as there is one master and one slave hardpoint defined. This is why you think it's 1 beam. There are 2 beams close together. In HW2 it's more visible, as there is a small delay between the master and the slave ports start to fire.
