All right. Ace, can you do me a grand favor and dock this thread? Everyone is wanting to know how to start modeling. Yup
I'm still way out of my depth.
So far I can get a VRML file into .cob.
After that I have the following problems.
1. I can't get textures in the material section of Metasequoia. I can save the cob as msq 2. As a result I cant get textures in Pepakura although can convert the files to .pdo 3. When I do get the untextured files accoss I can't figure out how to resize them or split into subsections to make construction easier.
and I still can't open the vast majority of Republika posted models (have managed a couple that were in .zip only)

Waiting and making pitafull atempts to figure it out myself (hehe I play games with my computer so neer realy do much in the way of editing stuff) so a good help guide would be very nice!!!

The Modelling 101 is excellent. Congratulations on a user friendly training course.
As a result, I have just managed to produce an unfolded print of a a Wingcommander Bearcat fighter with full textures, resized and printed.
Still need to resolve part identification and saving the .pdo.
Also, any hints on sharpening the resolution of the textures when upsizing?
Also any idea how much the registered pepakura costs?
