Vaygr Missile Frigate - Unusal Design...

Was sorting through files on an older PC - haven't used it for two to three years - and found a file of meshes (converted to .cob format) of this...

Nothing I recognise from the game and have no recollection where I got the file from!

Anyone recognise it? It looks a bit like a Hiigaran torpedo frigate but with some obvious differences.

The mesh you found is a Derelict Missile frigate, it can be found in the Karos graveyard, foundry section. This is what the Homeworld Shipyard site says about it:

This is one of two types of red Vaygr frigates seen in the E3 2001 trailer. Like most of the early Vaygr ships, it was removed from the game when they Vaygr were redesigned.

A derelict version of this ship is in the released game, in the Dreadnought Foundry level in the Karos Graveyard (along with a derelict version of the old Vaygr Command Carrier).

I have extracted the same meshes from the gamefile a while ago, and had to tweek the textures a bit (flipping/mirroring them) to correct them but it can be unfolded, which I am planning to do when I have finished the Vaygr Frigates. (maybe sooner when there's enough request for it...)
