Where is everyone! I'm gone a few days - OK weeks - and things go of the boil. Even Glove hasn't been his usual talkative self....

OK guys you heard The Glove! Avoid the Anti Homeworld death squads (or "stop wasting your time on these video games and do some cleaning" squads. Whatever). Take some caffeine. Get hyper. Get fired up about something. Anything?
Start posting info on the models you are unfolding even if they aren't - like many of mine - even halfway ready yet.
Its can't be just Fructose and Glove whose working on these things now. With Fructose's tutorials we should ALL be having a go.
Bear in mind the guys at I War have just released their Navy Patcom. Superb model buy the way. And they are new to this. And already have 5 models and some cargo containers for download....

maybe an anti-homeworld-forum league is hunting us down quietely Take care of yourself! these are anti 3d real space strategy simulator squads! we're not safe here... our paperships must burn, in order to destroy any proofs of our implication!. Now speaking seriously, I stopped building paperstarships because I've realised that my older ships are starting to be torn down to pieces (low quality glue, you know) the only ship wich remain nearly untouched is the vaygr battlecruiser (hey, this must mean something: vaygr vessels are much more durable than any other vessel made by any other race of the hw universe, and this is an evidence ) however, I am still here, as I like this place . By the way: here in Spain, we can see the International Space Station in the sky. When I saw it for the first time (it's clearly visible to the naked eye) it remind me to the HW1 scaffold where the original mothership was being built... I felt a strange feeling... and the need of playing the single player camaign of hw1 again. (go, Requiem War, go!)

This is a good idea, I must try to buy it, in order to save my vaygr bc... I don't want it to finish like my old imperial star destroyer... Thanks! (must this varnish be of a special kind, in order to spare the paper and printer ink?)

The one I use is made by Humbrol. Its an acrylic spray called "Crystal". Its supposed to be non-yellowing.
Its generally available from art supply shops but most modelling supplirs don't keep it.
There are other products again its worth trying a specialist art shop.
One thing I am thinking of tying is Johnsons Klear. Its an acyclic coating used on vinyl floors! But it thins with water and can be sprayed through an air brush.
However I dont know if Klear can affect printing inks or if it can yellow in the long term.

Well, I have so much stuff to work on lately. I'd make models, except I'm not willing to spare the 2-3-4 hours needed to build one. I'll unfold, not build. Anyone want to build for Ent-E's mandatory pic of the model, I'll start making again. For now, it looks like I'll start building again in December.

Whereas I'm in the position of building but no time on the unfolding.
New job is taking up so much time. Most of it either on the computer or shouting down a phone line. Actually building something is a major relaxation.
Still, my folders on the home PC and printed of templates mean I could be building for months - ok make that years - before any new unfolds get posted.....
In the meantime I've bought a new printer which should improve the model quality. Six colours and 5600 DPI resolution....

The Enterprise is also operational. Sorry for the long lack of updates... i have even got Your Derelict Heavy Crusier mdoel, fructose, and i'll upload it as soon i get the opportunity.
There are 2 reasons for my "disappearance". 1: im totally overcrowded by projects. There are far more i could ever have time to work on... To name just a few: 2 HW2 mods, high-detail 3D modeling, making music, etc... As for PS updates: the another problem is that i finally got a new computer, but still have no internet on that one, but all PS files are transfered to it. So it's a total mess. The website editor is on one machine, the website source files on another, etc etc... it'll take some time to get the machinery work again..
2: this september i started at an university... well.. one of the best universities of Hungary. it's damn hard, and i have to learn a lot not to get fired on first exams...
In the mean time, don't forget to create models (who have the time, i myself have several half-finished models lying around... for example a Qwaar-Jet withhigh-res textures, and an own-designed Star Trek ship... Send finished models to vanaar_jet@yahoo.com This is a pretty large mailbox, so i guess it won't be full.
