I think its context sensitive.... Some threads... such as forum rules....should be kept spam free. I mean. C'mon this one is beginning to spiral (and yes I'm as guilty as the rest  ) Others are more open to the use of..shall we say more casual posting.... Just an observation, but Starship Modeller's forums has a section known as Thunderdome which is intended to allow people to mouth off generally and the mods tend to bounce a spammy thread there so people can have a decent argument etc. Maybe something like that here. one point to note. Even Starship Modeller has its "limits" and they will lock any thread that gets abusive or overly political (although that began mainly with last years US Presidential elections). |

okay can we create a better definition to spam ? like
Spam: Abreviaion for spiced ham, heavily driving a thread of topic or comming in and saying sh!t like "..." or "bump", or the best of all creatin a thread w/ subject "TACOSS" and posting "tacos are so cool !!!!"
EDIT: not anything against u taco, just giving a example

Spam is a pointless post that does not invite worthwhile discussion. "Worthwhile" will be left to me, Ace, and Ent-E, as we're the lockers. If members want lockage, we'll be glad to give it, but if they don't, we're still the judges
