Khar Toba

Hot4Darmat1 has requested a model of the Khar-Toba.
i have slapped together this lil' model of it. As i have not many time, it has no Assembly instructions, and i havent assembled it myself. But i think its pretty easy.

-The antennaes are constructed like those of the Vaygr BC

Enterprise-E-E: Thanks again for the Khar Toba. This is a gorgeous looking model. A very satisfying build. I just finished my first one, and am working on a second one (this time with a slightly better quality card stock (60 wt vs the first one printed on a standard 20 wt paper)). I'll try to send you some pics, maybe when they're both done so folks can see them in convoy.

@the Glove: While the main body is essentially a box, I wouldn't call this an easy model to build given the size of the bridge components and the complexity of the foreward section. Those parts are a true challenge made even more challenging to me by the fact that there are no instructions, nor reference pics. My HW disc got destroyed so I couldn't install the game and view it, and I haven't seen the thing since I first played this game several years ago. I still have no clue where the antennae go (any reference pics would be most helpful).

It sits next to a number of other paper models on my shelf, including a recently built siim salla and a bunch of cool aliens models from jan rukr's site, but my eyes keep falling on this gorgeous boxy ship. I guess I just love the look of the design of the Khar Toba. Thanks again Ent-E!

Homeworld shipyards is pretty good but IHMO this following link is as good or better.

Its H2 only but all ships are here as downloadable 3D Textured meshes in VRML.

3D Explorer will convert these to .cob files

It saves having to extract .big files from the game.

I still haven't managed to convert cob to msq to pdo in such a way I get a useable textured unfold though.

yes, I know this now, after I built it, that bridge section was a pain in the ass to glue
