 Now I'm just talking to myself, but there seems to be an odd lack of Vaygr fighters available on the Internet. It'd be pretty awesome if I could get my hands on any one of them. |

If I had pepakura I would do this.
Have you checked ericksmodels.com - or something like that. search the forum and you'll find it.

I've tryed to make a Vaygr laser fighter and believe me, they're a pain. The spiky things on the hull makes it very hard to module or unfold properly

 What about Bentus? Sure, it's not too much to look at, but the size might be impressive. And it doesn't really look too hard to unfold, either. |

i'd be willing to try unfold one of them eventually, still working (slowly) on the Pride of Hiigara, and waiting for colored ink to print the last 2 sections
as for bentus, its big problem is that some of the faces it includes are too large for a page when its printed larger than certain sizes; im sure this can be worked around

i'm not sure about gmax, but 3ds max can cut a model, adding verticies in a line

It may be ugly as sin, but has anyone considered trying the Vaygr Flagship? It doesn't look too incredibly tricky for a Vaygr craft

I've not looked all that close on the Vaygr Flagship recently, but it sure looked tricky as hell when I glanced at it a while ago thinking of unfolding it! But I don't think it's ugly, actually one of the cooler ships imo... but I would not want to unfold it. =_= ... as for the Vaygr fighters and corvettes I have no plans of unfolding them, but they sure are underrepresented.  ... but the Bentus... heck, if no one has started working on it yet I would sure like to have a go at it! Think I might have a few solutions for making it quite large... so, how large would you like to have it?  |
