So, I was pondering on what I should do next and found myself, as usually, perplexed by the massive amount of choices. So I decided to let you choose for me in this poll(my inability to choose on my own will probably prove to be legendary). I'll let it run for a week or two since the activity is pretty scarce in this forum. ...also, I need to let go of the computer for a while to get time to assemble some papercraft of my own that I've had lying around. ... if you feel that it's absolutely imperative, you can do your own requests as well, but if so, please try to keep it to simple models, I have not unfolded much stuff on my own yet. ^_^; Here you have some pics if you're not sure on how they look: Vaygr WPlatforms Vaygr Missile Corvette Hiigaran Pulse Corvette Hiigaran Assault Corvette Vaygr Laser Corvette

Cool
I've been gone for a while and its nice to come back and see some new model creation happening. Congrats.
Personaly, I like the Hiiigaran Assault Corvette. Followed by the Pulse Corvette, Vaygr Missile 'vette, Vaygr Laser 'vette and (from that list) the Vaygr Weapon platforms last.
I had a go at unfolding an assault corvette a few years ago and never go beyond a very badly done gun turret.
Keep it up.
If you need file hosting, why not shoot at email off to Fructose?

Dauymn! An impressive amount of 5 votes in 24h... I'll have 15 in about a week then, holy macaronies. Thanks Tony, nice to see some more ppl around here as well... kinda' lonely here. < Well, none of the HW2-'vettes have ever been done and published it seems, same with the WPs, and vaygr-designs are overlooked all around... ... and I preferably need to have something completed that Needs file hosting before asking for it.

I'm sort of an old - well more middle aged - hand around here. Was quite active maybe two years ago or so. Mainly on the building side as opposed to unfolds. I've made a stab at a number of subjects most of which were embarrasingly. I'm definitely better at building that creating.
Was on a research sabatical from work and got bored one day. Found this site by accident spent the next 6 months or so in intensive paper modelling mode (still have hundreds of files saved from this and other sites on a range of subjects). But then the return to work and real life intruded and my activity came to a crashing halt.
Still drop by from time to time to see what Glove and the others are up to.
Like you say, its been quiet for a while so hopefully someone activelly creating new stuff will get things back on the boil.
Surprised you haven't been pressed into doing a large size Sajuuk by now. Thats been kind of the "holy grail" for many members.
Anyway, keep up the excellent work.

I see, I'm currently taking a break from my studies and got a hold of this site when I was bored as well, now I have paper-figurines all over my room(not just limited to starships).
Hehe, a large size Sajuuk would be awesome, but I'd say it is currently out of the scope of my abilities, I'd leave it up to the more experienced if 'I' were a wise sajuuk-requester.

Hm, ain't gonna get many more votes I reckon... seems like the Vaygr Missile Corvette is next on my list then, I'll cast my own vote for that one too actually, just to make it final. So, how do I close the voting?

rgr that. It's rather strange that no one have done any of the HW2-'vettes before, they'd look awesome as display-pieces, easily the sleekest models from the game. And I was wondering about size? I was thinking of making them somewhat large, considering the frigate models out there... slightly above 20cm long actualy... should be no problem, right?

20cm would be good in terms of having a decent sized model provided the textures didn't suffer in terms of detail. That was a tendency on some of the older ones such as Ent Es large Saarkin Cho carrier.
Of course with Pepakura designer, its no big issue to resize the model to suit whatever dimensions you want - within reason.

True, and I usually touch up the textures so they look a little better, so all should be fine then I reckon.

slightly above 20cm long actualy... should be no problem, right? the bigger the better 20 to 50cm should be perfect

Hehe eh-heh, uhm, a 50cm corvette would be a little over the top I'd say... the details would surely suffer unless a remade the whole texture. < I'll keep it somewhere in between 20 and 25cm.

i have to agree strongly that the vettes are some of the sleekest ships, and easily look like racing hulls with weapons on them (at least the HG ones) and i'll put my two cents in on the pulsar vette... of course, for the great looks, but also just 'cuz that oversided dorsal cannon just screams "lethally upgraded" to me. alas, if they were only a bit stronger...

Well, the easy(oh-so flashy) part is done: Body assembly Details assemblyNow I just have to unfold it all, and hopefully one will be able to fold it together again. ^^;
