First off being new here let me say hello and how impressed i am with all the models from this site.
i'm currently attempting to build the Hiigaran cruiser which in retrospect probably isnt the easiest to start off with.
The reason for this post is that i am wondering who is the most experieanced at making these models, for i wish to ask a small favour.
I am planning on building a radio controled boat version of the hiigaran destroyer, but so far i have been having a little trouble attempting this, but after finding this site i now have a bit more progress, but i still lack a crucial thing. what i need is a set of cross sections head on down the length of the dessy's hull to be able to start. so finaly my question is, would anyone be able to produce for me a number of cross sections so that i can begin building the boat?

your right its really not the best to start of with. I tried the Kushan carrier first and am making real slow progress. As for helping you sorry i am about as new as you. If you have spare time before you get help try an easier model if you are unable to continue. Should help you get some ideas and experience. really liking the idea of a n RC boat. sounds brilliant, nice 1. you'll have to send us all pics once its done,a video would be even better though if u could manage it. Also id like to be the first person to welcome you to paperstarships. WELCOME.

which one are you talking about? The destroyer of the Battle cruiser?
if it's the battle cruiser: BAD MOVE! first of all, the parts are FAR too small. several details are also messed up including the bridge being mirrored. the thread that listed all of the places where it is messed up had been deleted during the forum upgrade but i'm sure you can find someone who has built it and knows the downsides of the models current desighn.
But if it's the destroyer then you should be OK as long as you follow the instructions.

Balsa floats. Plywood...not so much. Use balsa. You can get thick balsa if you need it. But I'd suggest using wood sealer before you put it in the water. Or, you can just attach some tiny little floats to the side to keep it on the surface. Whatever floats your boat (Bad American pun.)
