Configuration->Line Type Configuration-> Set Line Width... from ´default 1 to 0,25. you will get verry thin fold lines that give the model a better look. i wish i know this before printing my hiigaran destoyer.

Most models are not in PDO format. And i constantly favour regular-image (JPG, BMP, etc...) formats for models, because 1: people have trouble opening PDO's 2: You can achieve the same quality on a regular-image release, or even better than in Pepakura, plus You can post-edit it, to fix things that Pepakura can't, plus Your work you have put a lot of effort into, will be harder to be ripped off by someone else.
Hey, Donnay, i like how You did the background. Did You do it in Photoshop, or do You have some large poster You put the ship in front of? (i'd guess it's Photoshop)

really nice for a first model...
btw, lemme introduce u to Pepakura, w/ the viewer, u can just VIEW the pdo file, u should download the Pepakura designer, which allows u to edit the file, but u cant save files unless u have bought and entered a unlock key for it...

Another Photoshop user! And you're from Malaysia...wow, we have people from all around the world, don't we? Welcome to the forums Cool thing you have there, with the space-y backgrounds. Maybe you could eventually put a fleet in something like that. Pepakura is a program that allows you to take 3d files and convert them to 2d paper printouts. It's the final step in our conversion of the 3d model to the 2d file.

Welcome to the board Nice work on the carrier. Your first model looks way better than mine first one I can only add to my defense that i was about 10 back then and the model wasn't too well designed Enterprise-E-E: I still prefer PDF format - it allows much better quality than BMP's or JPG's and PDF is more portable and easier to print (the only downside is bigger size). Also, lines in PDF are vector graphics, they can be zoomed in indefinetely, while in BMP's they're raster graphics - pixels are visible even when you print the image on A4 paper (unless images are in resolutions like 4096xsomething ). Of course, PDF's can be edited as well. Anyway, keep up the good work, Donnay and good luck with your next model. Please post some pics when it's done

Deimos Your're right, PDF is also a good format. i just don't know how to edit it, some times i have to edit the model outside of Pepakura....

You can get the acrobat reader. Version 7 is much improved over version 6. And it's free.

I see there's been an misunderstanding here, so let me straighten it up. PDF (Portable Document Format) is property of Adobe, and You need he Adobe Acrobat to make advanced PDF's (like making PDF from a website, images, etc). Adobe photoshop can also open PDF's and can be used to edit them (at least when adobe acrobat is acrobat instaled as well). Both these programs are quite expensive. But the strength of PDF format is hat it can be viewed o any computer using Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is absoluely free. Using Adobe Acrobat isn't the only way of creating a PDF - You can download a free virtual printer driver caled "Adobe PDF". After installing it will enable You to create PDF's from any file by printing it: when You choose to print a file You'll just have to select Adobe PDF instead of Your actual printer and the document will be saved as a PDF, with given resolution (~300 dpi will make the fold lines look perfect on any printer - without any pixelaton). For example, take look at my bentusi cargo bardge model (availible in homeworld models section)- i created it this way. There is sone noise around edges of texture, because of high compression (but still looks better than a JPG), but lines are perfect even with high zoom level.
