I did not release models since quite a time, but now the time has come: here is what You've waited for so long. The Vanaar-Jet.This model is the prototype, and a little messed up. i guess there's no other model where i ran in so many errors and difficulties during the assembly. So before i release it i'll rearrange the parts/flaps a bit. Also i would have to produce some assembly instructions, but don't have the energy. i wanted it to be as easy as the Qwaar-Jet, but it did turn out a lot harder. It is more detailed though (not as far as detailed as the HW2 model, i made a simplified 3D mesh exclusively for the paper version) There are a few detail parts that can be left out is somebody does not want to fiddle with them. Also i wanted it to be in scale with the Qwaar-Jet but it doesn't seem right in the end. All the conversion processes totally destroy the scale. Mine seems a bit too small compared to the Qwaar-Jet, maybe i enlarge the release version a bit. i hope You like it!

That thing is PRETTY. Had I any spare time to build random models, I'd really consider that one.
Since you're a Beast fan as well, any thoughts on an infected version? Just curious, since I'm trying to get the entire collective in paper form.

That looks impressive Almost as good as the HW2 version. If it just had goblins... But then again, it would be extremely hard to build then, so maybe it's better to keep it simple.

Thanks for the replies! Heh, i see it was worth making it.
Glove: 3D model won't be released (You don't really need it, it was only made for the paper version) and it would only make a source for ripoffs. You can get the more detailed HW2 version anyway...
Paper model will definitely be released as soon as i make the needed modifications (so it's easier to assemble). i think i will post it here on the forums, so the people who dare trying it without assembly instructions can start building it.
i also made the model so that i can change the color scheme easily. So im willing to release several different color schemes (well, within a reasonable boudary, so forget about pink/brown Vanaar-Jets...). Any ideas what You would like?

What can I say but WOW!!! Looks superb. This is just the kick start I need to get me back into paper modelling. Been ages since I've built anything what with real life getting in the way Are you planning to release as a .pdo or as a fixed size jpeg file? As for colours: Black with red team stripes.... Red with white team stripes.... Kushan/Higgy Blue with white stripes (to fit in Fructose's fleet ;D) What the hell. I'll settle for Yellow with red stripes as god intended.

Vanaar-Jet model test versionSo here is the Vanaar-Jet model. It is an improved version of the prototype i built (visually it's the same, but hopefully easier to build) For now, it's the yellow/red default version. It has no display stand and no assembly instructions... However who dares can try it... Sorry, i can't help much with words... Maybe one hint: use the model's texture to align parts. For example You can perfectly align the belly extension to the main hull by following the texture details.

I use texture alighnment all the time. It's how I managed to make a PERFECT model of the turanic carrier (depite how many parts there were)
