My second attempt at doing a model completely from scratch, it's a rather small version of the Hiigaran Interceptor... btw, the first attempt was at a Vaygr Heavy Missile(build-able, but I'm gonna do a remake)... ... back to the interceptor, it's approximately 6cm long and is based on the LoD2 game-model. I remade both the texture and some geometry, the LoD2-texture was far too low in detail and the geometry around the gun was on the other side far to detailed.  I made it for some future plans on a diorama I have, made for some good training since I'll have to do plenty of the models from scratch... anyhow, enough of the rambling and on to the photos.   My 6cm little bugger compared to the roughly 13cm long interceptor model found at Erick's Models.  ... and here it is in the palm of my hand. |

Need to touch up the texture, if you've noticed the badge... it's upside down. Also, some UV-coordinates are off, saw that when I compared it with the larger model, further more some flaps are in rather inconvenient places and need to be moved... so later tomorrow perhaps.  |

wth, 6:00 pm?! that means you're either east coast in usa/canada or west coast somewhere in south america... which would mean that you're about to go to bed now, if you already havn't... and I just woke up from a good nights sleep, so you'll probably have it ready just in time when you wake up... heh, the implications of time zones, it's mind boggling(for me at least).

There, now I'm fairly pleased with the result. I'd say it's fairly easy to assemble, cockpit may cause some trouble because of its size, but other than that it's all rather self-explanatory, enjoy: rapidshare.com/files/18984228/Hgn_Interceptor_Tiny_6cm_.zip.html @742kb, also included a second .pdo that prints two ships on one sheet, for paper-economy reasons. Some feedback on the color would be nice as well, I'm not really sure what to use, I use photoshop and wonder what RGB-color that would resemble the original blue color from the game(HW2). |

Did another one(gonna do a whole squad ), and this time I printed it in best possible quality, and I'm damn pleased with the result! ;D  Some general assembly pics, in third picture you can see the thing I use to fold it with, a retired razor blade, works wonders on those folds I'm telling ya. And another tip if you're going to assemble it, the wings rarely fit to the body all that well, so if you use plenty of water based glue the parts will soften if you let them suck it up a little before putting them together, hence it fits perfectly in most cases.  Closeup of the finished model, pretty neat huh? |
