I don't get it.. Is it so damn hard to use interpunction signs in sentences??? When I first read this sentence it was in my head in this form "which is cooler avatar, or quarr-jet", and I thought it was a poll about avatars (those little images that you use beside your nick, that represent you), then I started wondering what does Qwaar-Jet have to do with avatars... And it came to me, he was asking about Homeworld ships!!! Don't they teach you anything in school?

But even before I read your post I had no doubt as to what the poll was about.
If I'm in a site about Homeworld ships and the topic is Avatar -v- Quarr Jet then my first thought is which cruiser rools!!

The Taiidan own the Kushan. Qwaar-Jet is better. (As much as I can't stand the name. Avatar's name is better, I'll admit.)

I feel sorry for Ent-E, but I like the Avatar the most. Quarr-Jet may feel powerful, but the Avatar being wider feels BIG, HEAVY and ready to blow your ship.
On the other hand, the weapons in the Quarr-Jet are aimed to cause massive damage on heavy and slow enemy ships. The avatar can deliver less firepower as it has 2 ion cannons only, but it's misiles and special hability make it more capable against fighter craft, so the Avatar is a more versatile ship. However, the Avatar needs much more research to be done in order to be available for construction.
Not to mention the energy weapon upgrade of mass drivers in cataclysmn, wich the Quarr-Jet is lacking
And it's a cool design!

Well...in Cata, pretty much all the new stuff dwarfs the old, don't you think? Acolytes have missiles; no other fighters do. Dreadnoughts have missiles and repulsor fields, not just ion beams. The Command Ship has a siege cannon that could kick the Mothership's butt. And etc. and so forth...

In this case, I must agree with those that voted the quarr-jet. It is way much cooler than the Avatar. the avatar feels just... ugly :-P
