I'm curious to know if any of you have tried other unfolding software besides Pepakura? They are not easy to find, but there are several alternatives out there. Here are the ones that I know of. Pepakura www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/TouchCAD3D www.touchcad.com/formZ www.formz.com/products/formz.htmlKoloth's Unfold - an amateur program written by someone on the Relic forums, used to make the first Kadeshi Swarmer model if I recall correctly. I still have a copy somewhere The Foldinator zingman.com/home.html focused primarily on origami, of little use to us so far as it does not support textures I've tried Pepakura and Koloths, and have purchased Pepakura. TouchCAD is interesting, but at $795.00 USD I can live without it. So far, Pepakura gives the most value for the least money IMHO. I know I have browsed at least 2 other programs that do paper unfolds, but I have lost my bookmarks. Maybe one of you knows some others? On a side note, there are a bunch of industrial programs out there that will turn 3d models into unfolded images for flat construction plans, but I don't think they are of much interest as they don't support textures or images - primarily used in designing folded sheet metal items. (although if they produce good folds a model could always be re-textured - but who wants to do that?) examples of these are : ProtForm plugin for AutoCAD AutoPOL CatalCAD SMO
