Also not sure at all how i'd do it.. all the pieces, or just the three main parts (Lighthouse, Foundry, Dread berth/engines). plus oh..say, a good year or so indevelopment, plus a whole new pack of paper lol.. mucho at the sort of resources the Progenitors had at their fingertips ::salivates in jealousy:: i could never get enough resources to build whatever i wanted in HW2 ... before editing the save files ;D

Size, is never a problem. There is always somewhere to hang such goodies away from the deprivations of dogs, cats and, most importantly, 'she who must be obeyed'. (My better half)!! Seriously tho', really, I can see it would be an biiiiiiig task but, think about it Arlia, can U imagine the Kudos you'd get designing this thing? Plus, I can hang it on the long stair-wall in my house and it would really look cool!!!! Have a good think about it Arlia 'cos if you do not do it I'll cry! Thats it. Iv'e tried grovelling, now emotional blackmail, wots next?

While we're talking about junk, has anyone considered the Kharam Wreck?

mentioning the kharam wreck, i took a look and i have an unfold sitting on my HD... haven't attempted it yet (it's rather large!) but i'll be happy to temp-host it somewhere, or send it to yess. btw yoji... i have to ask- how'd you relabel the link to the kharam wreck? all i can ever do is make the address itself a hyperlink (i.e. rapidshare.com/files/21327504/hulknose.pdo ) did you use html, like <a href="">link name </a>? yes, this has been bothering me since i joined lol. btw, the Kharam Wreck nose is the above link . the turret is a beast. i just did the nose for fun, don't feel like tackling the other monster right now.

btw yoji... i have to ask- how'd you relabel the link to the kharam wreck? I put the URL in the first tag, gave it a name between the tags, and then underlined it so it looked like a link instead of simple text. I think it should look like... <url=http://hwmodels.ovh.org/><u>Homeworld Models</u></url>

on the subject of junk and derelicts... i've also started work on a build of the classic favorite, any suggestions on size? (for example, to scale with my higgy mothership the derelict will stand about 1.5m (5 feet) tall! i was thinking of just making the scaffold part to scale, then a whole model much reduced... imput? closer view here got the link working, mucho thanks yoji

I think the right thing to do would be making a smaller mothership.

actually, because of its size its not nearly as complex as you might think. the only real complex parts to it are the scaffold, the upper hangar, and the edge folds; the hangar is unfolding nicely, and the scaffold looks to be about as hard as the mothership door (large, flat object; seems simple). the edge folds are more annoying than complex; there's just alot of them to do.

re: glove... i'd agree to a smaller mothership definately; only my existing make is already the LOD2 version, and I'd have no idea where to start lowering the detail so it could be made smaller. i seem to remember a utility that automatically lowered LOD on homeworld 1 models.. any ideas where that might be available? or if anyone can/would want to work on it by hand, that'd be great too

i think if you've got it as small as you can ...... make a five feet tall one! (im about four and a half feet tall so that would be amazing!!!)(just as long as my parents don't get REEEEELY PIST at me)
