...You people and your Celsius. Making me go translate Fahrenheit degrees into Celsius. I never use it. Hooray for American customary.
...Whoever said they lived in 50 degree C weather is just...insane. Are you sure you have that right? That's 122 degrees F...which is 10 or so degrees shy of the highest recorded temperature on Earth. If that's true, you definitely have me beat, because the average temperature here in the summer is 35-40 degrees C. Even now in November, it's still a nice and consistent 27. I hate the heat. I want to go north.

I didn't say that it was the average, but peak temperatures, during the hottest days of August and measured in Sun exposed areas (scientific measures are not taken in exposed areas). I have seen the thermometers in the street (those that give the time too) go up to 53ºC last summer. It was funny to see lots of tourists taking photos at that in the streets.
By the way, Metric System all the way!

Metric = extremely annoying for Americans raised without the slightest idea what a meter was It's a pain having to change systems just for science and math class. Life in general, for me, involves no metric. Meters. Pfft.

10 millimeters(sp?) = 1 centimeter 100 centimeters = 1 meter 1000 meters = 1 kilometer(sp?)
Is that hard?

Where the F*** is 50 degrees C here????this summer it barely touched the 30 degrees barrier here where i live! and i believe measuring in km is much easyer than in miles for example!

no way you can survive at 50ºC, you would be boiling at 40ºC

Totally unusual, the only place we have that is at Gramado and it's vicinities.

Glove:
1 foot = .30 meters 1 mile = 1.609 kilometers 1 gallon = 3.785 liters 1 pound = 2.2 kilograms
When everything in your country is measured in customary units, you have a hard time keeping track of metric. It's not that metric itself is hard; it's that conversion is a royal pain the rear, and until America chucks its customary system altogether, we're going to have issues with metric.

See, the thing about that is...
Ace ran off with his authority. I emailed him and he hasn't replied, after several months. I can do anything except give you guys authority. Only the person that actually registered the forum can do that.
And it rather seems that the forum has lost others' attention, and that's the problem. We never expanded enough so that we had someone working on models at all times; schedules all set in at once and that was it. If we had steady activity and a source of publicity, this place would pick up so fast we wouldn't be able to keep pace.
But as long as this forum exists, active or inactive, I'll be here.
