I got Homeworld about a year ago and have completed it several times. It's probably my favorite game. Just yesterday I discovered Paper Starships and decided to try my own. I just finished a Kadeshi Swarmer and enjoyed it so much, I started designing a scene I'm going to hang from my ceiling. Because of the unfortunate scaling problems between frigates and fighters, I'm going to only use fighters for this. I'm sure it's been done before, so does anyone have suggestions or problems easily overlooked? I've always liked the design of Kushan Defenders but I haven't been able to find a model anywhere. Would anyone be able to direct me to one? Also, it's my understanding that making one's own models from the game's files requires software that costs money. Is there any free alternative?

i believe you can use a free version of pepakura to unfold the model, but you cant save it, only the image that you print, but you might not even be able to do that, I cant remember

Everything has a free trial. Download Deep Exploration's trial and convert all your ships to .cob files. You won't need it again afterward, so it's okay if it expires.

Metasequoia is free. So is Pepakura (unless you really love .pdo's. I can live without them, but apparently no one else here can ).

no it dose not involv money if you get the veiwer or desiner you only bye the pass word and you dont have to byr the pass word.
