*rolls eyes* No, you search for a PLACE where you can find them in your area. Then, go outside, get in a car, drive down there, and buy them. If you can't drive (I assume you can but hey, I dunno), then get someone to drive you there.

I don't know anything about resorces in Brasil, but I would expect there to be some electrical supply shops - places like Radio Shack in the US and Maplins in UK - that sell a range of electrical components such as LEDs.
Do you have a business telephone directory that lists local businesses. May be try the reference section at the local library? Local technical colleges may know where to obtain LEDs.

Well its a number of years since I studied geography but lets see:
Largest country in South America. Founded by Portugal, independant from mid 1800s. Covers an area about the same as USA. High level of natural resources and - last time I looked - had the largest economy in South America. Capital Brasilia. Current president named Da Silva. Bicameral congress with legislative system based on Roman (ie similar to France, Spain Portugal) system.
Leading sport - football (OK soccer to the yanks amongst us).
A quick look at the CIA World Fact Book entry adds a bit more detail, suggesting low(ish) unemployment but a fairly high percentage living below the poverty line (presumbably based on US standards - then again, based on US standards th UK is at a similar level. ) Population in the oder of 106 million. We have 60million but then, according to the CIA my country is comparable in size with the state of Oregon not the USA itself. Which explains the massive overcrowding in this country!)
Still don't know where you can buy LEDs! Sorry!

As soon as I'm done attempting my paper clock, I'm thinking of illuminating a Hiigaran carrier. I think I've got the wiring and light isolation down, but the batteries and switch placement are giving me trouble. Specifically, I need a switch that protrudes as little as possible and doesn't require much force to throw.

Just a thought along the lines of a switch... i can't think of many places it'd be unobtrusive, but a twist-switch (like on an electric guitar) seems to require almost no force to activate; maybe it could take the place of one of the engines - glue a thruster image to it? edit: its called a rotary switch, and is available in alot of variations:

Hmm, that's a good idea if I can get it to fit. Might not work if I decide to illuminate the engines as well, but that might just mean I should expand the scale altogether. I asked about this on 4chan recently, and the only input I got was to use a magnetic reed switch. How feasible does that sound? Oh yeah, and what about that EL wire stuff? If I went with the LED setup I've got so far, I think it would be less of a model and more of a fire hazard...

Well, shoot. I should've known better than to get white wire, perhaps the dimmest light you can buy. Back to the drawing board, I guess.
I remember someone made a Kushan carrier with illuminated bays that turned out quite nicely. Anyone familiar with what I'm talking about?

Well, I think I found something that should make the idea of illuminated ships a little more viable. I found some silvery giftwrap at Michael's the other day, which I imagine will reflect better and cut more easily than aluminum foil. I'll have to try this out later when I come up with a decent light source
