Another thing I discovered while re-working the Kuun-Lan...
You can change the model textures from within Pepakura. This makes it really easy to change colors without starting the model from scratch and re-doing all those tabs and folds. Or, you could offer your model in a selection of color schemes. Add a bit of variety in our fleets.
Before you do anything, you have to edit your texture images and change the colors. Keep the same file names for the new textures, just put the new ones in a separate directory so you don't get the new and old ones confused.
Pepakura saves the texture files in the exact same order as Metasequoia does. So, if you have your original MQO and PDO files, open them both up.
In Pepakura, open the model then select "3DModelWindow" from the top menu, then click on "Set Texture". A new panel will open, listing each texture image in order. They will be listed as MAT1, MAT2, etc, with a little thumbnail view of the texture image. Unfortunately, Pepakura will not give you the file name - you have to get that from Metasequoia.
Alt-Tab over to Metasequoia, open the MQO of your model, and then open the "Material" panel (Ctrl+M). You will see the same list... MAT1, MAT2, etc. By double-clicking on each material you can see the file name.
To change to the new color, make a mental note of the file name for the MAT, Alt-Tab back over to Pepakura, click on "Specify Texture Image", and browse to the new texture file you want to replace the old one with.
Repeat for each MAT entry in order, and close the Texture window.
Done. You now have your same PDO model, but with new colors.
