Hey guys. I don't know if this forum is still alive, I've found it recently and not much have changed from that day. But I wanna show you my first model, or the first stage of making my first model. Last time I've tried to make some papercraft was many years ago, I mean, when I was just a child on a primary school. Now I am student of computer animation an I have close to 3D graphic, so I've began with the 3D model by changing some details and doing some optimalizations. And I've cut it apart right in 3Ds Max, it suits me better than do everithing in Pepacura. Here are some pictures:
These are renders from 3Ds Max. As you can see, I wanted to have all the long parts in one nice uncut piece. The biggest left side is main part and everything else will be stick to it. The left side on a paper would be looking something like that:
If this web isn't completely dead, there will be a progress. Hope I can make it in paper, coz It's been a while since my last time.
I'am going to make it in 1/100 or more probably in 1/72.
