Hi all,
While I've lurked on this site for years this would be my first actual post. This is also my first successful paper model so let me know what you think. I know its not really a starship
but here is my modified Blizzaia Wanzer. I took a few liberties with some of the details as the model itself was rather simple.

While the model was easy enough to put together, the directions are in Japanese which made certain points hard to put together, namely the knees. I tried to enhance some of the details such as recessing the intakes to give them a more 3d look, and making additional plating on the legs. The shield (which can be mounted on the shoulder or held), gun, missile launcher, and shield shoulder mount, were all scratch built. I also created a little hatch cover for the left shoulder for when the missile launcher is not in use. I printed the model out on 9 x 13 matte presentation paper (a rather nice grade of paper) so the model stands at about a little over a foot tall. Here he is next to my Optimus Prime on display:

This model took me about a week to finish. Square also has 2 other paper models available from the Front mission series that I have not had a chance to download yet.
