Hey guys,
I've been doing models for a little while now (haven't actually finished one yet, damn ADD...), and I've always downloaded all my models from Paper Starships, which is now down (it is comming back again, right?), and now I am looking at other sources for models; however I have encountered a problem; all the files now are .pdo, which I have no way to open (I have a mac, and, sadly, no one has made a mac version of peparuka). .pdf's are what I need to print...
I have all of the models I want on my desktop, but I don't know anyone with the registered version of peparuka (I really hope I'm not butchering that...). (Infact, I don't know anyone who has anything to do with paper modelling...)
Does anyone have any ideas on what I should do?
Thanks in advance, -Finn

Having a mac is like having an awesome car you can only use on 5% of the roads.
Have you tried one of that Windows emulators yet? I've heard that's how mac users get past the system's restrictions.

(TheGlove) Not quite, it's more like having a Ferrari, and not driving it on gravel roads; most software is made dual platform, but small programs (i.e. Peparuka), aren't converted because they are rarely worth the effort.
As for the Windows emulation; Bootcamp (boots Windows) only works on Intel Macs, whilst mine is a few years older, and therefore still runs the PowerPc x86 system architecture.
Cheers, -Finn

I have a freind who has an older mac. he said he used something called "Graphics converter." I don't know if it will work, but you can google it if you really want to check it out.
Personally, I would ask auris to PDF them.
Also, if you're looking for where we get the models, I believe there are several tutorials in the main editing forum explaining the process, so you can check it out from there as well.

Sadly, CrahpicConverter isn't sure what to do with it... It can't use a .pdo because GraphicConverter does as it's name implies; it converts graphic formats. Alas, .pdo's are actually 3d models, and as such their files contain a list of vertices and connections which GraphicConverter can't use. On another note, .pdo's don't have a standard 3d file type, therefore it would take substantially more effort to get it to work in a 3d modelling program than it's worth... P.S. I like your sig . Cheers, -Finn
