unless it's a terribly complex mesh (see the Eve Online request thread), it's a yes or no depending on the 3d format. do you know what extention the actual model is?

It is easy and the meshes are not complex, you need of:
Milkshape 3d with the SFC import/export plugin installed to convert the format MOD for 3DS or COB.
Deep Exploration to convert the textures in JPG or to save in COB (if the model was exported for 3DS)
Metasequoia to edit the model and to be save in MQO format
Pepakura Designer to unfold the file.

BTW don't bother considering full version of 3d studio, it cost about 4k$

Really, but I don't know any other method of conversion of that files of these games of the gender Star Trek (Klingon Academy, SFC, Bridge Commander) the exception is it Armada that can be imported 3D Studio since with the appropriate plugin, I think that a plugin exists for 3D Studio in the case of Star Fleet Command, he advise to give a looked for here starfleetcommand3.filefront.com/
