Was browsing Sci Fi Meshes and came across this  I take it this was never produced as a mesh. Cos it would make a sweet addition to the Taiidan fleet.  |

Lack of point defences is pretty normal in Homeworld. It was intentional to make players think tactically about setting up their fleets. Which is why cruisers and destroyers are suited for attacking motherships and other capital ships but will rely on multi-gun corvetttes and fighters for dewfence against strike craft etc.
The light cruiser design has a forward tripple barrel Ion cannon turret and two heavy (mass driver) turrets - one on each side.
