wow, thats the parralel of mine!
I have a much better processor (for games):
AMD AThalon 64 (Pentium IV is better for other non-gaming taks)
but only:
1Gig ddr ram.
120 GB Hard space (i'm still not going to manage to fill it)
But great vid card:
BFG Works ASYLUM NVIDIA GeForce 5200 (256MB onboard memory)
NOTE: the "ASYLUM" ^ makes all the difference!
wow.......400 GB.......wat u do w/ it? edit videos?
Try HW2 on ur new cpu, w/ full graphix settings; should be Amazing!

£1,200.....
And it arrived today. Should be up and running in a couple of days.
Delay in delivery due to replacing standard keyboard and mouse with a wireless unit

And I'm now hoping that the decision to go Pentium wasn't a mistake. I do most gaming on PS2 or X Box - only use the PC for Homeworld etc.
Oh well have to see how it goes.

Don't drink (anymore), don't smoke, don't own flash car. Pretty good job (although nowhere near the salary I'd get if based in London) so leaves some funds available for what really interests me.

Well the new PC is up and running. Running like it has a broken leg......but still running.
First off my usual ISP - wanadoo - can't won't accept a link unless its a broadband and as yet I don't have a broadband modem.
So - in desperation - I registered with AOL.......
Yeh OK I said in desperation. Effing AOL!!!
Never thought I'd dink so low.
Anyway. can't seem to get registered with the site.
All being well I'll get registered with Wanadoo soon and then try to register here again......

Dunno! Didn't work at first but seems to be OK now. Only one problem. The new PC fried 6 hours after switching on. Dead as the proverbial Dodo.  New base unit on order as it will take 6 weeks to get the spare parts...... |
