For those of you who liked the Independence War games, or the vessel designs from those games, check out our new I-War paper models site. Stephen Robertson, co-creator of the Independence War games and I have been working away at making a few models from those games for distribution. He set up a website to host them here: www.ravenger.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/iwarpapermodels/More models from these games are coming, including the PatCom (almost ready) the Puffin-class tug, and of course, the famed Dreadnaught-class corvette. You folks here at this forum know well how much fun it is (and how addictive it can be) to create these things, so I thought you'd appreciate the link and heads up. I also learned alot about making paper models from this site, so a big thanks goes out to all the regulars here, from whom I learned loads (and whose cool models already adorn my shelves). Hope you don't mind that I included a link to Paperstarships at our site, as this is such an incredible resource! Spread the word, and enjoy!

Those look cool! I can't wait for the other models to come out. That was a fun game. I should go and get I-War2 and play that, since I never did.

They are actually a totally different game. Indepenance war was a very cool game that was out around 1999. Great space sim.

Recently bought I War 2 - Edge of Chaos. Very good and I love the ship designs. Hope these guys will produce models for some of the destroyer and cruiser class ships.

We're working our way up to those larger vessels, but they are on the list. The next ship model ready for release is the Commonwealth Navy Tariq-class PatCom (Patrol Combatant) vessel. I used the 3D mesh from the original I-war game, and hand-textured the unfold piece by piece. It was hard work, but it came out looking great. It should be available for download at our site in a day or so.
Indie coloured versions of the same vessel will also be available someday soon.
Glad you like them, and for those of you unfamiliar with the award-winning Independence War games: no these vessels don't look anything like ships from Star Wars or Homeworld games at all...unless you class all science fiction space-faring vessels as looking alike, which I suppose some folks do...

Are there any plans for the Patcom in police markings? That'd be cool.
Oh and while I'm on the wish list.....
The Bastille and Guilotine class destroyers The Wasp class navy fighter and The Storm Petral ;D

Now on to the Puffin-class tug.
(Yes, the Dreadnaught-class corvette is currently being built, and it will knock your socks off when you see it...stay tuned, and keep checking here or at our site for news).

Over a meter (that's 3 feet of paper!) I doubt it. I'd take a shot at it, but I don't know HW2 uberships and I'm not using that much paper...
