Welcome back Glove What sort of game you thinking of? Strategy/tactics type, FP Shooters, pilot simulation etc. Not that I'm having that much time at present but Nexus - The Jupiter Incident is the only newish game that I've sen that really appealed. Been playing Halo 2 on the Xbox and - at the risk of offending fans of The Master Cheif - it doesn't really do much for me. I do like Killzone on the PS2 which is one of the best FPS games I've played in a while.

Freelancer. I definitely recommend Freelancer. You control a mercenary and his ship, and you fly from system to system. There is a very cool plot line, but you can go off and be evil and befriend pirates if you want. Very cool.
I liked Impossible Creatures until I got to a level I couldn't beat, then just ditched it. It's a good game if you like those kind of games. The only problem is that unlike Homeworld, it's a 2d game (as in, no 3rd dimension, up/down movement). After playing Homeworld, that gets annoying. But all in all, it's a good strategy game.
If you like multiplayer and have way too much time on your hands, find Starcraft and see if you can master it. Loads of people play it, but I don't. Also Warcraft.
Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. I love that game. Mostly, it's a shooter, but you also do get a lightsaber you have to use, and can go nuts with from time to time. It's a first-person shooter.
Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. If you get any strategy game, get this. It's cheap, and the graphics are okay, but the game itself is awesome. You get 6 factions to pick from, all of which have different strategies for settling a new planet. You get to pick your wars, negotiate with other factions, and blow everyone to smithereens if you feel like it. A good, challenging game due to its several difficulty levels.
Aside from those, I generally play console games. I have 10x more games for consoles than I do for PC.

I'd steer clear of X2 The Threat and its earlier incarnations. The grahics in X2 are superb but the gameplay is SLOOOOWWWW. Takes too long to gather enough funds to do anything of real interest.
Freelancer? Got it but prefer Starlancer. Which was a pure flight sim that set the scene for Freelancer.
Tachyon. Of course. One of the best flight sims and good story line.
Freespace - again a slight sim but very very good.
Independence War and I War 2 - flight sims but with extra features. Take some getting used to but worth it.
My main problem, aside from finding time to play - is that my PCs are too good!!! They will only play X, X2, Freelancer, Starlancer, Freespace 2, Tachyon, I War 2, Starlancer, Homeworld 1,2 and Cata and Nexus.
I can just about run Wing Commander Prophecy if I tinker with the settings. Indpendance War (but not the expansion) and Conflict: Freespace will run on my laptop only.
Wing Co 1,2 and 3 and anything earlier or designed for pre-2000 machines I have serious problems with or they won't play at all.
One day I'm going to a local PC specialit and have him build me a machine to my own specifications - ie so I can run DOS based games using a windows machine etc.
Well, one day if I win the lottery!!!

Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. I love that game. Mostly, it's a shooter, but you also do get a lightsaber you have to use, and can go nuts with from time to time. It's a first-person shooter. hey, thats the best sw game I've played so far. It has a "solid" feeling in multiplayer, maybe because of the sound of the steps. I'd like to play Jedi Academy, to check it's multiplayer too, although It's said Outcast is much better Now, I play GTA vice city, too, as I like the freedom of the GTA series (although dislike the morality of the missions) It's cool to drive with a car by a living city -while waiting to GTASA to be available. However, as the game i'm waiting for is BW2 -man that's going to be amazing- I have started again with a good sheep in bw1 - but as you seem to be very good at this game, glove, I think you'd already got bored of it

Freelancer is awesome. However it gets boring after awhile, but if you download the Evolutions mods, it gets awesome (especially online). You can even buy battleships which cost... well i can't remember the exact cost, let's just say a whole lotta money.

Wait wait. There's an EXPANSION for Freelancer? Where?! Is it a mod or an authorized expansion? Er, to keep this on topic, I'll try to think of something...er...huh. I haven't played Orion, but I've heard that those are good games. I think it's a small line of games. Maybe. Man, get a console. They're so much better

Crimson Skies for X Box is superb. Personaly I detest the PC version.
I had high hopes for the Battlestar Galactica game (X Box and PS2) but it was insanely hard.
Put it this way, I have yet to complete the second mission after 6 months......
Its one of the mission types where your wingmen must survive the level. Doesn't help if a second after the level begins they head straight at a swarm of enemy fighters at a speed faster than you can match let alone exceed.
I think the programmers were having a joke. There isn't any game beyond this point...... ;D

Decent consoles down here cost WAAAAAAAAAAY too much money
btw, Crimson was a state of art... the only thing that really pissed me off was the mission where u had to take a whole squadron of brigands and a ace helicopter thing w/ nothing but a $hitty helicopter thing, man... that took me so much time... a sequel would be superb

What kept getting me was flying ino the underground temple in South America. I got through taht by luck not skill.
And going into the meatgrinder in the monster airship in the final level over Chicago.
It just annoyed me that the Fortune Hunters teamed up with Kahn and the Red Skulls. I wanted to dogfight the bar$tard!!
