Wait, did I forget to post this one? Well, whatever. Here's an attempt to salvage a botched Hiigaran tanker. It got all crimped due to lack of reinforcement, so I decided to burn it up to make it look wrecked. [ link]

wow, someone actually tried the kharam wreck! lol, yes it consumes alot of paper. at least you didn't try to build all the little panels it comes with... i could see someone going insane trying to do that. it looks very good anyway, nice job. and it's nice to know i'm not the only one who's fiddled with fire to add 'effects' to paper ships. looks like the tanker started out well, at least. a little internal reinforcement could have saved many a botched papercraft.

Okay, so it's not really a paper model, but it is Homeworld-related. I made it almost entirely off some artwork from an animatic, and it took a bit of work, so I feel like showing off. I'm pretty sure it's all to scale, too. [ link] Now, I dare you all to even attempt unfolding the thing!

Hi Yoji, Could you send me a copy of the mesh for that thing. I'd like to see what the rest of it looks like ;D

Alright, let's answer some questions... any plans to put some textures on it? I'm not too good with textures, so probably not any time soon. Could you send me a copy of the mesh for that thing? No, but I can put it up here so everyone else can play with it, too. Just so you know, this was made in Google Sketchup v6, and doesn't exist in the game itself. And if you try to unfold it, be aware that there might be some unintentional planes and shapes in there. That said, knock yourselves out! EDIT: ...umm, I didn't mean to be mean about sharing the file. I was just trying to be snarky and sarcastic...

I've been at it again with Sketchup. First up is the Balcora Gate built from some concept art. Put in for scale (from largest to smallest) are the Gatekeeper, the Pride of Hiigara, and the USS Ronald Regan [ link] And while I was at it, I took a whack at the rejected Vayger Command Carrier. It's a little incomplete, though... [ link] Tune in later when I have access to a camera, then I'll show off my recently completed Hiigaran battlecruiser.

::applause:: for this skilled craftsman converting concept art to 3d creations! i like your touch of adding the USS R.R. to the scenes =) gives a real sense of size as compared to us, rather than just the nearest thing in the HW universe. wondering, to that scale how tall (meters, feet, ...)is the Pride of Hiigara?

Thanks everyone, and this is the one from YessMasster's site by r2a3867. I left out most of the detail shots because... well, I honestly botched several sections. The top half isn't even glued entirely in some spots. But here's a few more details anyway: primary drive core pit hangar entrance? And while I'm at it, I'm wondering about how to wrap up another project that's been sitting on the back burner. I made a Taidaan Cruiser a while ago, but I didn't have any color ink. I do, however, have a nice set of Copic markers that I can probably use. But instead of the garish usual yellow/red color scheme, I was thinking of doing something different... what exactly, I'm not sure. Maybe some dazzle patterns or something unconventional like that, but I'd like to ask for opinions first. The Cruiser in question
