if you havent fixed it yet, i can boolean the problem area off in 3DS Max
or you could download 3DS Max and do it yourself (i think gmax would work too, gmax = free version of 3DS Max)

Wow, I hope you'll be sharing the templates when it's all finished.
But I'm a little confused. I remember reading somewhere that the Pride of Hiigara is only half the size of the Kharak Mothership (doesn't really require the cryogenics capacity). Any truth to that?

Doesn't look that way really, the Pride looks a lot fatter than the original one.

the half size rumor may have come from the fact that the actual in-game model appears about 40% the size of the first mothership when rendered side-by-side
and if you mean the construction facitlities, sensors, research, etc? ive thought about it but havent gotten to the point of converting them yet
