in manual it is stated that the pride of hiigara is the biggest ship higarans have ever built, so technically it should be bigger, while in-game measurments (with movement disc) show that HW1 ms is almost twice as big as hw2 counterpart. also, in hw1 manual it's stated that ms weight 5mln tons, if it was made of iron it would be empty in 99% (99% would not be air, but vaccuum), so my best guess would be hw1 in-game units should be feet instead of meters. it would explain many things

pepakura says it's 53cm high, while kushan ms is 70cm high True, but the default view has the model at an angle. I suspect the dimesions Pepakura gives is based on that initial angle, which I guess would explain things. ...oh hell, I'll just roll with that.

actually, the model *is* 53 cm tall, or close to it; i developed the whole thing in ppka version 1, and that gave the dimensions straight-on, sort of; facing bottom-up it's 53 cm "deep". also, i believe the PoH was significantly bigger than the kushan ship, but afaik there are no 'official' figures for size of either; best guess is the sensors manager distances

update on my progress... still not done lol i've found the hangar door is quite a pain to assemble the way i designed it; may remake it as a patch for the current release. it doesnt sound like anyone else has tried it yet; if you did, any remarks?

I got some ink for my printer, so I've started work on the Pride of Hiigara. Not bad for a few hours work, I guess. [ link]

back to the idea of size for now... i set up three scales for comparison between the HW and HW2 models in Metasequoia: the first is the true size - no changes by me the second, i think was lined up so the frigate bays for the two (x 4.5) motherships are about the same size The third is as close as I could get to the cockpits on the interceptors being the same size (x2 x4.5 -> x9) if you look closely, you'll see that somewhere between the second and third steps, the brown lines across the top and bottom of the two motherships must have been matched; the second one the Pride's are too small; the third, they're too big. its interesting to note that even when the motherships are equal in size, the difference between the strike craft is immense. I'll try to make one of these with a cruiser or frigate to look at that, too. for

&quick note to yoji: if you havent already printed it, hold off on the Door for now; i'm trying to fiz the texture problem along the back and inside, but i need to reinstall photoshop to convince it to handle DDS again. hope to get out 2 or 3 color schemes, too.

That's a pretty good job you did with the scaling, never noticed the huge difference between the interceptors.

looks like a good start! let me know about any recommendations you have/ bugs to report Oh! I almost forgot! I noticed the insignia were upside- down on the template. I managed to fix it with Photoshop magic, but I think that needs to be fixed. Other than that, I've noticed some extra/missing flaps around the ends and the edges of the engines, but it's been okay so far. A little tricky and cumbersome, but nowhere near that of the Bentusi Exchange.
