i understand work lol.
but he started this topic, myself as a tachyon dedicated pilot saw this while exploring the internet for anything space oriented.
i surf late at night and try to stay informed of new space games and space sim type stuff.
this site came up in a google search so i quickly responded once i saw that the guy needed help.
he hasnt responded lately and had seemed to me to let the whole topic die.
i have done my part here and offered my help and since im not a paper folding type person i thot hed be more up to the task than me since he posted this topic in the first place.
if he abandons this it is his prerogative.
but there are many ppl in my community who would LOVE to have a model of one of the ships we fly every night.
Guess tach just doesnt measure up because you guys are HOMEWORLD ppl
thats all fine and dandy. im Tachyon ppl.
HAVE FUN.
dont worry ill not be SPAMMING this topic, OR YOUR FORUM for that matter, anymore.
good day.

Geez. Lighten up. For the record. And I'll say this once. I run a team of 20 lawyers in a major law firm. At present I have a HUGE amount of work on. Slippster. When you are happily gaming at night, I'm working. And Working late. Home at 9.00pm local time. Back at my desk at 4.00am.... I have litigation from an oil refinery explosion to deal with and 4 High Court actions going to trial in December with a combined value of over £25million. So whilst I STILL want to produce models of tachyon ships, I have NO TIME WHATSOEVER to deal with any of my hobby projects. I just logged on for a few mins to see what was going on. At 1.00 tonight I have to set of and catch a plane to Hartford in the US to interview Insurace company executives. Then I have to fly back Also, before my workload just exploded, I had a go at opening the meshes in the zip you kindly provided and I couldn't get Deep Exploration to open it so I'm stumped. I would personally love to get a chance to have a few straight hours of gaming on Tachyon, Homeworld or whatever. As I'm going to pulling 20 hour days for the next couple of weeks at least. I was happy to argue in favour of the overly pro Homeworld stance of the site (much as I'm a big Homeworld fan) and I'm aware that Hot4Darmat (Indep War) met with a marked lck of interest at his teams hard work in generating I War ships - for the record, he now has three versions of a Navy Pat Com - two in Indy markings - a C Fighter, 3 freighters and cargo pods built. There are two versions of the Dreadnaught Corvette on the way and the Salt Lake starbase and Puffin Class tugsare nearly done and ready. Wish I had time to build them. They make a refreshing change. As for not responding to the above comments earlier. Grow up. Some of us have lives away from the forums and gaming. And have careers dependant on keeping a focus on what's really important. Frankly if this is the way this sites going, I may not be back myself.

Just giving you a warning, Slipp. No need to be sarcastic, but if you want to up and leave, that's your decision.
Glove -- I've always been this way. I just don't like reprimanding others without the force to back it. I don't abuse authority; it only looks that way from your position.
Tony didn't appreciate what you were saying, either, so I think I have a very justified reason for what I said.

I appreciate TonyG's predicament entirely. As it turns out, we are about the same age, and both hard-working career-types. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with a demanding professional career interested in science fiction games and paper models posting on these boards. It's very hard to find time for these hobby undertakings with the intense demands of real life. I used to think I was incredibly busy as a university student...now I look back on those days and lament the time and flexibility of schedule I enjoyed in those days.
I'm a father of two kids under 3, a full time hospital-based neuropsychologist and I have a busy private practice on the side (evenings and weekends). I also find I have little time for sleep these days, so it isn't suprising it takes loads of time for any of these models to get done (especially given the amount of time it takes to create them, vis a vis the rate of pay received for producing them...).
Patience is a virtue.
